End of life

​Saying goodbye is one of the hardest parts of pet ownership.

When the time comes our vet, Elle,  can either attend at your home or in a calm, relaxed, Peaceful Goodbye room at Stamford Pet Crematorium; giving you peace of mind you can be with your pet every step of the way. In our experience, it is a great comfort for pets, and their owners, to spend their last minutes in comfortable and calm surroundings; where time is not limited and anxiety and fear kept to a minimum.

Elle is an advocate for fear-free handling and utilises techniques endorsed by the CAETA (Companion Animal Euthanasia Training Academy). She has also completed additional training in euthanasia and bereavement through the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Foundations of Advanced Veterinary Practice to ensure a gentle, empathetic approach, allowing a peaceful passing for your pet and full support for you as a family member.

Our fees are inclusive of call out, a pre-visit telephone consultation (to ensure you are fully prepared and we can discuss any requests or aftercare arrangements you may wish to make). We also include sedation as standard, as well as pawprint and fur clipping keepsakes (at no additional charge).

Cat/ Small dog: £180

Dog 25-40kg: £250

Dog> 40kg: £300

​

Transport to the crematorium may be arranged based on travel costs (price per mile).

We believe in supporting small independent local businesses and have partnered with Stamford Pet Crematorium to provide a personalised bespoke service for your much loved pets. If you wish to be present for the cremation, arrangements can be made with the crematorium directly.
